The Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang Tourist Beaches (MB) said that after a temporary suspension of traffic to overcome landslides caused by heavy rain in October 2022, the following sightseeing routes: Tien Sa - Om stream - Ban Co peak; Ban Co peak - Bai Bac; Bai Bac intersection - Heritage banyan tree on Son Tra peninsula were reopened from September 16 to serve tourism.
Tien Sa - Suoi Om - Ban Co peak route allows traffic in the following forms: bicycles ( sports , off-road), motorbikes (except motorbikes using automatic transmission), and walking.
The Ban Co Peak - Bai Bac route allows one-way traffic from Ban Co Peak to Bai Bac, except for scooters and cars with more than 24 seats. The Bai Bac - Heritage Banyan Tree route is only for walking, sightseeing, and picnicking.
According to statistics from the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, after the above 3 tourist routes were reopened, Son Tra Peninsula recorded 4,740 visitors from September 16 to September 30, an increase of 24.6% compared to the first half of September 2025; of which 1,370 were international visitors, an increase of 70% compared to the first half of September 2025.
These are ideal sightseeing and picnic routes on Son Tra peninsula with famous destinations on the tourist map.
Among them, Ban Co peak is a destination chosen by many tourists with a location that allows you to see the whole city at an altitude of 700m above sea level, especially suitable for "hunting" clouds.
