Danang Telala Co., Ltd. is 100% Japanese capital with more than 14 years of operation in Danang, specializing in manufacturing high quality garment accessories.
The entire weaving workshop of the company has 75 DKY 6/45 weaving machines specialized in producing small-width ribbons. However, the structure of this weaving machine has some limitations during use: the elastic feeding speed cannot be adjusted independently, causing the elastic to stretch or sag unevenly; errors can easily arise during the weaving process... This affects productivity and product quality.

Faced with the above reality and with the support and companionship of the grassroots Trade Union and the leadership of Da Nang Telala Co., Ltd., those directly involved in the production line tried to find a solution. After a month of research, the group of authors created an additional independent transmission unit to supply raw elastic to the weaving machine, helping to separate it from the current synchronous transmission system.
Ms. Le Thi Viet Ha, Deputy Manager of Quality Department, a member of the author team, said that the above initiative has brought about efficiency by improving the DKY 6/45 weaving machine system, allowing the raw elastic to be supplied independently, accurately and stably. In addition, it increases the ability to control and adapt flexibly to many different types of elastic, helping the machine operate stably when changing the input materials.
After applying the initiative, the rate of qualified products at the factory reached 97-98%, machine productivity increased by 10-15%. Profit brought in each month is about 50 million VND/machine.
Engineer Nguyen Khac Hung, HSE Manager of Da Nang Telala Co., Ltd., a member of the author team, added: “At first, we encountered many difficulties in realizing the idea. Team members had to clearly understand the operating principles of the weaving machine to determine the details that affect the performance, then find raw materials, accessories, and supplies to ensure the machine operates stably…”.

Not stopping there, the initiative also contributes to environmental protection by reducing industrial waste by limiting product defects and the rate of damaged goods that must be discarded; saving production energy (electricity, gas) towards sustainable production.
Ms. Tran Thi Uyen Sa, Director of Danang Telala Co., Ltd. said: “The successful application of the initiative not only contributes to improving production efficiency, saving costs and protecting the environment, but also creates an exciting atmosphere and enhances the working spirit of employees. Thereby, it also affirms the intelligence, efforts and creativity of employees.”
Last August, the initiative "Manufacture and install a transmission system to feed elastic raw materials through a frequency converter and a motor separate from the weaving machine structure" of Da Nang Telala Co., Ltd. was honored to represent Da Nang city to participate in the exhibition "Creative Journey - Aspiration to grow" organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in Hanoi . The initiative is classified in the field of technical innovation in production, application of information technology, environmental protection and public health care.
According to the assessment of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the typical initiatives participating in the Exhibition "Creative Journey - Aspiration to Rise" demonstrate the spirit of innovation, intelligence and aspiration to contribute of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers in the cause of building a strong and prosperous Vietnam; are practical actions responding to the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation...
