Many activities to visit, give gifts, and support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters

During the two days from October 7 to 8, agencies, units, socio-political organizations, along with many individuals and philanthropists, continued to organize many charity activities, visit, give gifts, and support people to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

Through the mobilization and connection of Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union, Quang Ninh Provincial Youth Union donated 50 million VND to support Ha Giang 1 ward and Ha Giang 2 ward to overcome the consequences of floods caused by storm No. 10. Along with that, Tuyen Quang Provincial Youth Union directly visited and gave 100 kg of rice, 60 barrels of water, milk, instant noodles and many essential necessities to 5 households in Linh Ho commune whose houses were swept away by the flood. The Hanoi student group also sent 150 gifts to 150 households in Vi Xuyen commune, sharing the difficulties with people in the flood area.

Responding to the call of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Provincial Red Cross, on October 7, the Women's Union of Tien Yen commune launched a fundraising movement, calling on members to support more than 2.4 tons of rice, along with filtered water, instant noodles, vegetables and fruits to send to support people in Ha Giang 1 ward, Ha Giang 2 ward and Ngoc Duong commune in difficult days.

* On the morning of October 8, the Provincial Red Cross in coordination with the Provincial Business Association organized the donation of more than 3 tons of rice to support people in Minh Ngoc commune to overcome the consequences of storm No. 10.

All the rice was distributed to poor and near-poor households, policy families and households that suffered heavy damage due to storms. The local government mobilized union members and youth to support transportation and distribution to the people, ensuring timely and correct delivery.

* On the morning of October 8, the Board of Directors of Thien An Pagoda and philanthropists in Hanoi donated 1 ton of rice and 100 boxes of instant noodles, worth more than 21 million VND in total, to people in villages affected by storms and floods in Bac Quang commune.

On the same day, the Vietnam Full Gospel Church in Ha Giang region also donated 35 million VND through the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to support people in the disaster area. In particular, the Dak Lak province charity group collected thousands of gifts, totaling more than 1 billion VND to give to people in Vi Xuyen commune.

Dak Lak province's charity group has presented more than 1,000 gifts including drinking water, instant noodles, banh chung, milk and many other essential goods to people in Vi Xuyen commune who suffered damage caused by storm No. 10.

The gifts given to the people not only have material value, but also show the affection, sharing and the spirit of "helping each other" of the people of Dak Lak province towards the flood victims. This is a meaningful action, contributing to helping the people of Vi Xuyen commune to soon stabilize their lives, overcome difficulties after natural disasters, and spread the spirit of solidarity and kindness in the community.
