Quang Ngai guides border communes to choose locations to build inter-level schools

QNgTV- The Department of Construction of Quang Ngai has just completed coordinating with departments and branches to survey locations proposed by the People's Committees of communes in border areas to build a primary and secondary boarding school.

The inspection team worked with the People's Committees of border communes on the location of schools at the People's Committee of Bo Y commune.

The Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai has proposed an investment portfolio to build primary and secondary boarding schools in 9 border communes, including: Po Y, Ia Toi, Dak Plo, Mo Rai, Duc Nong, Sa Loong, Dak Long, Ro Koi and Ia Dal.

These are communes in Kon Tum province (old) along the border with Laos and Cambodia; with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions, rugged terrain, limited traffic, sparse population, mainly ethnic minorities, such as: Xo Dang, Ba Na, Gie Trieng.

In the first phase, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai proposed to build 3 new schools, renovate and expand 2 schools, with a total investment of about 773 billion VND. The Department of Education and Training proposed the remaining communes in the list of 148 communes in the next phase.

The construction of inter-level boarding schools in border communes is an important and urgent political task, aiming to implement the direction of the Politburo and the Government, ensuring the right to study of students in particularly difficult areas, contributing to stabilizing the population and maintaining border security.
