Risk of slow progress on Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway

QNgTV- Due to land acquisition problems, the progress of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway project is at risk of being affected.

The construction unit is making efforts to bring the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon project to the finish line on time.

The Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway project is 88km long, passing through Quang Ngai province (60.3km) and Gia Lai province (27.7km) with a total investment of more than 20,000 billion VND.

According to the plan, the entire project must be completed in the third quarter of 2026. However, according to Project Management Board 2 (project investor), currently 5 localities have not yet completed site clearance with a total of 14 remaining points. Among them, there are locations that have existed for a long time but have not been completely resolved. If not thoroughly handled, the risk of delaying the entire project's progress is very high.

Recently, at a working session with the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province and related units, in order to remove the existing problems and obstacles in the site clearance work of the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway project, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Viet Hung directed the parties to concentrate highly and thoroughly resolve the site clearance work. No later than October 15, the work must be completely resolved so that the contractor can accelerate and complete the project by the end of 2025 in accordance with the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister.
