Over the past 100 years, the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press has created a precious legacy – a solid foundation, a proud journey. Through the ups and downs of the nation, the press has not only been a loyal companion of the people but also a pioneering force, contributing to shaping ideology, spreading positive values, and nurturing ideals and faith in a prosperous and progressive future.
For the development and survival of the nation, Vietnamese journalism has been and continues to affirm its irreplaceable role in all fields: politics , economics, culture, and society. Behind these achievements are the tireless footsteps, sweat, tears, and sometimes even blood of genuine, courageous journalists who always place ideals, truth, and compassion above all else.

They are people who yearn for a civilized, just, and humane society; they are inheritors of the indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people, refusing to bow to power or temptation; they live with profound compassion and a passionate love for their profession. Their sacrifices are silent but immense.
For them, a journalist's card is not just a professional passport, but also a diploma from the harsh "school of life." It symbolizes courage, knowledge, and responsibility to the community. They are defenders of justice, speak up for what is right, inspire beautiful and decent lives, and contribute to building a society that upholds the rule of law, is humane, and sustainable.
Every article, every photograph, every video clip is a work of art imbued with truth. And to achieve that, many journalists have had to sacrifice their time, effort, health, and even their lives.
Journalism doesn't make you rich. In today's difficult economic climate, many journalists live on modest salaries, yet remain passionate and dedicated to their work. I've met reporters who, after work, work as ride-hailing drivers, salespeople, or delivery drivers… None of them complain. They smile and gently say, "I do this extra work to understand life better, to write better articles, and still support my career."
In today's era of technological and information explosion, where anyone can be a "news reporter," journalism has become a more essential "beacon" than ever before. And in this world, there are three types of journalists: professional journalists – those who shoulder responsibility to their newsroom and society; amateur journalists – dedicated contributors driven by passion; and self-proclaimed journalists – those who write based on personal inspiration on social media platforms.
Regardless of their position, if they produce outstanding and inspiring works that contribute to the country's development, spread kindness, compassion, and aspiration for progress, then they deserve to be appreciated.
The 100th anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day is not only an occasion to honor proud achievements, but also a time to express gratitude to journalists – those who have dedicated themselves, silently and steadfastly, to bringing the breath of life into every page they write. They are soldiers on the cultural and ideological front, embodying courage and noble civic responsibility.
I bow my head in respect to the journalists – those who are always dedicated to the truth, to the people, and to a better Vietnam.
