In Vietnam, content creation has clearly shifted from a personal, entertainment activity to a semi-professional and professional field. According to a TikTok representative at the Apps Summit Southeast Asia 2025, 70 million Vietnamese users utilize this social network.

The explosion of TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook Reels has made short videos the dominant format, leading to a demand for high-frequency, fast-paced, and low-cost content production. Consequently, competition among content creators has intensified to meet consumption demands and the platforms' rapidly changing algorithms.

2025 marks a significant milestone as AI-powered tools become more widespread and accessible to a wider audience. From professional content creators to newcomers to the creative world, everyone can apply them and simplify the video creation process.

A prime example is Capcut, a video editing app with over 500 million downloads, ranking among the top 10 most downloaded apps globally. In Vietnam, many young people not only use Capcut to create videos but also earn money by creating video templates, forming a large community of content creators.

These applications have introduced solutions that help save time and focus more on content ideas. Instead of spending a lot of time on manual techniques, users can use AI features to automate image/video processing.

However, choosing the right resources to learn and mastering AI skills to improve work performance is a challenge for AI users in general. According to a LinkedIn survey, 41% of the platform's users believe that the speed of AI applications has affected their health. Additionally, the number of posts indicating being overwhelmed by the amount of AI information has increased by 82%.

This survey also revealed that trust is a crucial factor in acquiring knowledge in the modern era. 40% sought advice from acquaintances before using AI, and nearly half would ask acquaintances again after receiving advice from a chatbot.

Thai Anh Toan, an influential AI template creator, shared his insights at the Capcut AI Creator Lab event.

Vietnam continues to be identified as a key market, possessing one of the most dynamic user communities in the region. At the CapCut AI Creator Lab event, the Capcut team shared their "AI Community Growth" strategy based on three main pillars.

Instead of just providing tools, CapCut will continue to invest in developing a community of experts with in-depth knowledge of AI tools, building a sustainable ecosystem for content creators. In addition, more frequent and larger-scale training sessions and workshops will be organized to popularize the AI toolset to a wider audience.

Nguyen Thai Toan, the creator of the "flying person" AI filter with 1.6 million uses, shared his journey in creating successful products, which stems from understanding the tools and user preferences. "My journey began with curiosity and experimentation with new features. Over time, applying AI to the prototyping process has significantly improved my efficiency and product quality," Toan stated.

According to Ms. Mai Dang, Operations Director of CapCut Vietnam, AI-generated templates created by Vietnamese people have achieved millions of uses and high global reach for each template. Through AI, stylists can pre-set commands, lighting, and effects so that ordinary users only need to add personalized content suitable for their channel.
