Last weekend, the reality TV show "Haha Family" released its ninth episode, featuring a stop at a beekeeping family in the Southwestern region of Vietnam.

Similar to previous episodes, television viewers have the opportunity to follow the journey of the participating artists "eating, living, and working together" with the local people, thereby gaining initial understanding of farming life, exploring traditional culture, and discovering the unique customs and traditions of each region.
"Haha Family" is also licensed from abroad, but it differs from many recent popular entertainment programs such as "Brother Says Hi," "Beautiful Sister Rides the Waves," "Acceleration Arena," "Brother Overcomes a Thousand Obstacles," "Pretty Girl Says Hi," "Star Squad," etc.

Without conflict, rivalry, ranking battles, or shocking elements to attract attention, "Haha Family" is gentle and unhurried, with participating artists stopping at interesting destinations, even considered a "healing show" for viewers after stressful and hectic hours. This is partly why the program has achieved a viewership that has somewhat exceeded the producers' expectations.

However, there is another, quite important reason why people appreciate this program. That is the usefulness, especially for the tourism industry, that "Haha Family" brings. For example, at the first stop of the team in Lien village (Lao Cai), the artists lived with a family in the village, who also owned a homestay, visiting terraced rice fields with them, picking bamboo shoots, going to the local market, and preparing unique and meaningful everyday meals...

After the program aired and received significant attention from viewers, the Lao Cai province's tourism industry recorded an unusual increase in the number of tourists visiting Lien village in general and the homestay where the program's production team stayed in particular. Highly appreciating the practical tourism stimulus effect that "Haha Family" brought, the authorities of Lao Cai province awarded a certificate of commendation to the program's production unit...

Recently, reality TV shows in Vietnam have undergone positive changes compared to the past. Celebrating traditional culture and showcasing the beauty of Vietnam's land and people are two of the core themes that program producers are aiming for – a trend worth encouraging.
