Handling collective and individual responsibilities for wrongly issuing certificates of codes for Ngoc Linh ginseng growing areas

After a series of press reports about the "turnaround" in the process of granting growing area codes to Ngoc Linh Kon Tum Ginseng Wine Company, recently, based on inspection results and regulations, Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee requested the revocation and cancellation of the improperly granted certificate, and at the same time directed to clarify the responsibilities of organizations and individuals.

On June 22, the People's Committee of Kon Tum province issued a document directing the handling of the issuance of a code for Ngoc Linh ginseng growing areas to Ngoc Linh Kon Tum Ginseng Wine Joint Stock Company in violation of regulations.

According to the People's Committee of Kon Tum province, through reports and based on relevant legal regulations, it was determined that the company's application for a growing area code and the appraisal and inspection work to grant a growing area code were not carried out in accordance with legal regulations.

Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment to urgently direct the Department of Agriculture to withdraw and cancel the certificate issued to the above company.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee also requested to clarify the responsibilities of the collective and individuals involved in the illegal granting of growing area codes to Ngoc Linh Kon Tum Ginseng Wine Joint Stock Company in order to have a form of handling and correcting the implementation of public duties, and report to the Provincial People's Committee before June 25.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee directed the information on the handling results to the press agencies that reported the incident in accordance with the provisions of the press law.
