Following the motto: "All union members and workers should have a happy Tet holiday," in the Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026, trade unions at all levels in Tay Ninh province organized many activities, creating a peak period of care and support for union members and workers, helping them have a joyful and warm Tet holiday.

Heartwarming Lunar New Year gifts

Present at the meeting hall along with more than 100 other workers at Formosa Taffeta Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Binh Duc commune), Ms. Tran Thi Kim Loan shared that she had returned to work nearly a year after taking time off due to serious illness, and her family's life was relatively difficult, so the closer Tet (Lunar New Year) got, the more worried she felt. "When I found out my name was on the list to receive Tet gifts from the Provincial Labor Union, I was so happy!" said Ms. Kim Loan.

Also receiving gifts from the Provincial Labor Union, Ms. Phan Thi Kim Loan, a worker at Elite Vietnam Global Footwear Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Ben Luc commune), shared: “The joy for workers far from home during the Tet holiday is receiving the care and visits from the business owner and the trade union. Each gift provides both material support and a great source of moral encouragement for the workers. At nearly 60 years old, I came alone from Can Tho to Tay Ninh to work and earn a living, but I am truly touched!”

Workers were delighted to receive gifts and New Year greetings from provincial leaders and the Trade Union.

With the motto: "All union members and workers should have a happy Tet holiday," during the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026, the Provincial Labor Union will present 50,000 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, in cash, in kind, and vouchers to union members and workers, with priority given to workers in difficult circumstances, those who have suffered work accidents, occupational diseases, serious illnesses; and those whose income has been affected by reduced working hours or job loss, etc.

From the provincial budget, 1,800 gift packages worth a total of 900 million VND were given to disadvantaged workers. In addition, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also provided 300 gift packages, each including cash and essential goods, worth 1.3 million VND.

The grassroots trade union also advised and coordinated with the business owner to organize many activities to support union members and workers so they could enjoy the Lunar New Year, contributing to building harmonious labor relations at the enterprise. According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Trinh - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union of META Biomed Vina Co., Ltd. (Long Hau Industrial Park, Can Giuoc commune): “The business owner is a foreigner, but he cooperated and created very good conditions for the trade union to take care of the lives of the workers. This Tet, the company director sent lucky money and cakes for workers to take home as gifts. In addition to the Provincial Labor Federation visiting and giving gifts, the Executive Committee of the company's grassroots trade union also gave gifts worth 500,000 VND. Therefore, all the workers are very happy, everyone has a Tet holiday.”

Besides gifts, the Provincial Labor Union also distributed nearly 300 train tickets and nearly 100 plane tickets, supported by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, to union members and workers to return home for Tet. The Provincial Labor Union organized transportation for nearly 2,000 union members, workers, and their relatives to return home and then back to Tay Ninh to work after Tet. 45 "Union - Spring 2026" buses will depart from Tay Ninh on December 26th (Lunar Calendar) to provinces in the North, Central, and West of Vietnam. Each plane ticket, train ticket, or bus ticket is a meaningful gift, encapsulating the joy and happiness of disadvantaged workers who have spent many years celebrating Tet away from home, now able to enjoy a joyful reunion with their families.

In addition to visiting, extending New Year greetings, and giving gifts to workers at their workplaces, the Provincial Labor Union also coordinates and organizes many activities so that all workers can participate.

A highlight is this year's Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party program, organized by the Provincial Labor Union at grassroots trade unions. Holding the program right where union members and workers are employed is a way for the trade union to get closer to the workers, listen to and share their concerns more promptly, and strengthen coordination and collaboration between the trade union, the enterprise, and the workers. This year, the program took place at the grassroots trade union of FuLuh Shoe Co., Ltd. (Can Giuoc commune) and the grassroots trade union of PouHung Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Cha La Industrial Park, Ninh Thanh ward).

Participating in the program, Ms. Ho Thi Truc Linh, a worker at PouHung Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Tay Ninh, happily said: “The company's trade union always pays close attention to the lives of workers through many practical activities. During the Lunar New Year, workers receive their 13th-month salary and Tet gifts, giving them more motivation to work with peace of mind. In particular, the 'Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party' program in 2026 created a warm and joyful atmosphere. Everyone enthusiastically participated and felt the care and attention the trade union gives to workers every time Tet comes around.”

The Trade Union Tet Market is also one of the annual activities that union members and workers look forward to. The Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026 took place at four locations: Thuan Dao Expanded Industrial Park, Trang Bang Industrial Park, Duc Hoa commune, and Tan Ninh ward. Each location had 20-40 stalls selling essential goods, confectionery, Tet gift packages, etc. More than 26,000 vouchers were given to workers to shop at the market.

All products are sold at discounted prices, guaranteeing quality and food safety, meeting the Tet shopping needs of workers. At the Trade Union Tet Markets, there are also "0-dong" stalls, legal advice, reproductive health counseling, cultural activities, gift giving, and visits from provincial leaders and the Provincial Federation of Labor.

The market had all the necessary goods, which was very convenient, so workers didn't need to travel far. I hope that in the following years there will continue to be programs like this so that workers can have a joyful Tet holiday.”
