According to the organizers, since 2019, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Radio and Television Station has coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Department of Education and Training of the province to organize the BRT Television Cup for Children and Youth Football Tournament.
With the affection, responsibility and support of provincial leaders, agencies and units, the tournament was successful from the first time it was organized and has been continuously improved in scale and quality, becoming an annual provincial event.
By 2025, BRT Cup has signed a cooperation agreement in testing and selecting players from the Youth Football Tournament and BRT Television Cup to the LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai Football Academy for the period 2024-2029.
Over 5 seasons, among more than 12,000 U11 and U13 players participating in the BRT Television Cup, 34 players with outstanding talent were discovered, creating opportunities and conditions to go to academies and youth football training centers in the country.
Among these, many players are highly appreciated by coaches and fans, selected for the national youth team or are key players at professional football clubs in the country, such as players Dinh Quang Kiet, To Minh Loc, Hoa Xuan Tin, Hoang Trung Khai, Nguyen Hoang Gia Nguyen, Nguyen Trong Phuc, Tran Cong Hoang, Phan Viet Duc...
Through 5 seasons, the BRT Television Cup has spread widely and connected friends, compassion, and love for children through accompanying scholarships and volunteer activities.
Accordingly, the organizing committee awarded nearly 300 million VND in scholarships to more than 150 players participating in the BRT Television Cup along with meaningful gifts, with a total value of hundreds of millions of VND to players and children in difficult circumstances in the province.
In the 6th season - BRT Television Cup faced many difficulties and challenges in organization, especially socialized resources, but the organizing committee decided to coordinate with the sports event organizer in the province to organize the tournament; at the same time, maintain the prize structure and reward levels.
In particular, the organizing committee invited and received encouragement and participation from Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, President of the Vietnam Football Federation; CEO of LPBank HAGL Football Club Nguyen Tan Anh; Technical Director and Director of LPBank HAGL Football Academy Vu Tien Thanh; National Team player Nguyen Xuan Son; Trinh Nguyen Thanh Hang, Captain of the Vietnam Women's Futsal Team.
