On the afternoon of October 28, at Foreign Trade University, the Final round of the Data Science Talent Competition 2023 took place.
It is known that the Data Science Talent Competition 2023 will start from August 5 and the final round will take place on the afternoon of October 28.

The theme of this year's competition focuses on the application of AI and Blockchain technology, an issue that is of interest to young people because of the strong impacts of these breakthrough technologies on all aspects of life.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thu Huong, Vice Principal of Foreign Trade University, said that the Data Science Talent Competition 2023 is an intellectual and professional playground for high school students and university and college students who are passionate about data science, especially AI and Blockchain technology.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thu Huong, in 2023, in addition to candidates from a number of domestic universities, there will also be the participation of international universities, which will promote the connection betweeneducational institutions, school groups, and domestic and foreign students.
Meanwhile, Associate Professor Dr. Le Minh Ha, Director of the Institute for Advanced Study in Mathematics, said that science and technology, especially data science, AI and Blockchain technology, are the common development trends of the world . Therefore, having new, bold, and even somewhat "crazy" creative ideas can create highly applicable products.
“The more bold and ‘crazy’ ideas there are, the better. Because those ideas can create revolutions in the future,” said Associate Professor Dr. Le Minh Ha.
The preliminary round of the Data Science Talent Competition 2023 has the participation of 52 teams, divided into 2 independent groups. Group A is for high school students and Group B is for university students.
After the Preliminary Round, based on the criteria of creativity in ideas, technical feasibility and potential for practical application, the Jury selected 12 teams (6 teams per group) with the best projects from 52 participating teams to continue to the online presentation round.

After accumulating knowledge and experience through intensive training sessions, the teams have come up with useful technology products in many fields such as Health, Environment, Finance, Education, Insurance, etc.
Advance to the final round, including 7 teams with the best performance in the online presentation round, to compete for First, Second, and Third prizes.
As a result, after 2 rounds of Project Defense and Debate in the final round, Team HVN (University category) and Team AQUAEMI (High School category) became the 2 Champions of the competition.
The 2 runners-up were the Hanoi Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and the K - DOUBLE Q team (university group); The 3rd prize went to the SODOCU team, Multinational Corporation and SHERLOCK.
