광남성의 19,000헥타르 규모의 숲에는 거대한 야생동물 8종과 붉은 책에 등재된 수많은 야생동물이 서식하고 있습니다.

광남성 코끼리 보호구역에는 현재 늘어나는 8마리의 코끼리 무리 외에도 다른 희귀 동물들이 많이 있습니다. 이 보호구역에는 붉은 책에 등재된 희귀하고 멸종 위기에 처한 야생 동물인 트롱손 큰 뿔을 가진 몬작이 서식하고 있습니다.

광남성 코끼리 종 및 서식지 보호구역은 퀘럼과 푸옥닌 사(예전에는 농선 현, 현재는 광남성 퀘선 현)에 위치한 약 19,000헥타르에 달하는 지역을 차지합니다.

현재 이 보호구역에는 야생 코끼리 8마리가 살고 있으며, 엄격하게 보호받고 있습니다.
