The top 10 private enterprises on the list paid a total of nearly VND148,000 billion to the budget, an increase of 36% compared to the total payment of nearly VND109,000 billion last year.
The top half of the list, including 48 enterprises, are units with tax payments of over VND1,000 billion - a significant increase compared to only 30 enterprises on last year's list.
This reflects the growth of the private economic sector.
In 2024, the private economic sector will account for 53.4% of total social investment capital, 82.07% of total labor in the economy, contribute 38.6% of total pre-tax profit and 51% of total income generated for employees in the enterprise sector. The private economic sector will contribute 43% of total GDP, accounting for 57% of GDP growth in 2024, the largest contribution among economic sectors.
This development, in addition to the efforts of the enterprises themselves, is the companionship and attention of the Party and State with a series of policies and guidelines issued in recent times.
Recently, the Politburo issued Resolution 68-NQ/TW on private economic development, setting specific goals until 2030 and a vision to 2045.
Accordingly, by 2030, we strive to have 2 million enterprises operating in the economy (equivalent to 20 enterprises/1,000 people); contributing about 55-58% of GDP and 35-40% of total state budget revenue; creating jobs for 84-85% of the workforce; labor productivity increasing by an average of 8.5-9.5%/year; having at least 20 large private enterprises participating in the global value chain.
Recently, at the first meeting of the National Steering Committee to implement Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW of the Politburo (August 4), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized the need to create a movement and trend so that "the whole country is an army" in developing the private economy.
