105 houses damaged by storm

DTO - On the morning of July 23, a sudden strong storm and rain occurred in My Ngai ward, Dong Thap province, causing many houses to collapse completely. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

According to initial information from local authorities, at around 4:00 a.m. the same day, a rainstorm accompanied by strong tornado winds damaged 105 houses of households in Hamlets 12, 14, 15, 16, My Ngai Ward, of which 13 houses collapsed completely, 92 houses had their roofs blown off, 9 people were injured and were taken for timely treatment.


Authorities help people overcome the consequences caused by storms and tornadoes.

Immediately after the incident, local authorities quickly sent functional forces to the scene to support families in overcoming the consequences and organizing the relocation of people's belongings to a safe place.

Currently, the People's Committee of My Ngai Ward is coordinating with local organizations to mobilize temporary support for families to soon stabilize their lives, while continuing to count the damage caused by storms and tornadoes in the area.
