Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company is one of the typical examples of effective implementation of the emulation movement for excellent and creative workers in the production sector of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV). Here, the emulation movements are not only organized systematically and synchronously but also closely linked to production and business targets. In 2024, the Company recorded dozens of technical initiatives that were recognized and applied in practice, bringing in tens of billions of VND in profit. Notably, 100% of workshops completed production plans, many units exceeded output by 5-10%.
Among the typical examples, miner Pham Dinh Duan, a worker at Mining Workshop 9, is a testament to the sense of responsibility, dedication to the profession and the desire for innovation. With more than 20 years of experience in the coal mining industry, Duan has led the production team to continuously exceed the plan by 10-15% for 12 years (2013-2025). The labor productivity of the team he is in charge of is always at the top of the Company.
Not only is he a skilled worker, Mr. Duẩn is also an effective "bridge" between the technical department and production practice. He regularly makes suggestions to modernize the mining process, increase safety, and improve labor efficiency. Thanks to the application of his technical initiatives, the tunneling productivity per shift has increased by 1.3-1.5 times, contributing to raising the income of workers from 12-22 million VND/person/month - an increase of nearly 200% compared to 2013. He himself earns 300 million VND/year, becoming a typical example of the new generation of coal workers.
Not only in the heavy industry, in the field of construction materials, Gom Dat Viet Joint Stock Company is also a bright spot in the creative labor emulation movement. The Board of Directors and the Company's Trade Union always accompany and encourage workers to promote technical initiatives, improve technology and improve working processes. Gom Dat Viet pays special attention to creating conditions for workers with innovative ideas, and at the same time effectively applying initiatives to production. This not only helps reduce labor costs but also contributes to improving productivity and product quality. Thanks to that, workers are more attached and dedicated to the business.
Up to now, the Company has won many prestigious awards in the Vietnam Science and Technology Innovation Competition; Gold Medal from the World Intellectual Property Organization in 2020 and Certificate of Patronage from UNESCO for innovative work in automating traditional ceramic production... These achievements cannot be without the contribution from the hard work of the craftsmen and workers here.
The emulation movement "Excellent workers, creative workers" has recently spread widely throughout the province. Since the beginning of the year, workers in the province have had more than 3,000 initiatives, solutions and topics recognized, with a total benefit value of over 45 billion VND. Along with that, there are 140 emulation projects and products recognized with a total benefit value of over 8 billion VND. Trade unions at all levels have actively coordinated to organize and commend outstanding collectives and individuals: 96 excellent labor collectives and 1,182 advanced workers were honored. Of which, the Provincial Federation of Labor has commended 50 outstanding workers at the provincial level.
The emulation movement for excellent and creative workers not only contributes to improving productivity and work efficiency but also affirms the role and value of workers in the development of enterprises and society.
