After four months of fundraising, implementing housing construction and implementing well and clean water projects to provide for Myanmar people affected by the earthquake, on July 25, Ambassador Ly Quoc Tuan and Mr. Nguyen Quang Ngoc, Chairman of the Vietnam Business Club (VBCM) and the delegation went to Mandalay and Sagaing regions to directly hand over houses and clean water supply areas to people most affected by the earthquake on March 28.
The trip is full of sharing and affection from the Vietnamese community in the country and in Myanmar, especially practical for the Myanmar people in the villages that collapsed, collapsed, and lost everything after the terrible earthquake and aftershocks until July 2025.
Part of the donated money was used to build 6 new houses for households in Mandalay and 16 houses in Sagaing region; drill wells and install 3 water supply systems including 10 water tanks, providing clean water to 3 villages in Mandalay and Sagaing region (sponsored by SONHA), ensuring the supply of 10,000 liters of water/day for the people. The delegation also directly gave 22 households some cash, supporting their lives and restoring their livelihoods after the natural disaster.

In addition to charity activities on this occasion, the Embassy, VBCM and representatives of Vietnamese enterprises such as BIDV , Mytel, VCM, VTP Myanmar, Greenfeed, StreamNet... surveyed the actual situation in the locality, learned about the needs and possibilities for cooperation in the fields of infrastructure restoration, healthcare, education and sustainable livelihood development.
The activities of the Vietnamese business community in Myanmar and the Embassy have received support from Vietnamese individuals and groups in Myanmar as well as individuals and businesses in Vietnam, reflecting the affection of the Vietnamese people for the people of Myanmar.
The implementation of the charity project also had the active contribution of Mr. Phan Dang Kien and his wife, Director of Mytel branch in Nam Shan and Mr. Nguyen Khac Tien, General Secretary of VBCM.
In the coming time, VBCM and the Embassy will continue to help people affected by the earthquake in the Inle Lake area in Shat Wa Gyi village and Zayat Gyi village.
This event continues to be a vivid demonstration of the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Myanmar, demonstrating the active role of the Vietnamese community in Myanmar in people-to-people and humanitarian foreign affairs activities.
