The InnoWorks 2025 competition focuses on two key themes: Smart manufacturing, energy and environment.
Teams are encouraged to develop solutions using AIoT technology to address pressing issues such as climate change, sustainable development and smart manufacturing to improve the quality of life.
This year, the teams not only demonstrated good ideas but also showed a close combination of technology, business and social factors.
A key factor in the high feasibility of the projects is that the teams have access to and use of Advantech's WISE-IoT technology platform. This platform allows flexible connection to IoT devices, collecting and converting data into useful information.

In addition, the Organizing Committee and VGU have launched new support programs, focusing on helping candidates transform their ideas into real startup projects through participating in intensive training sessions on startups, project management and business model building.
The teams are also advised by experts from the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, VGU lecturers and partners such as Advantech, Resolist.
These training sessions help teams overcome initial challenges, analyze the market, build a viable business model and improve their presentation skills to attract potential investors.
According to the Organizing Committee, the projects participating in the competition are not just ideas but also have high feasibility for implementation in reality.
The big advantage lies in having teams develop together on a unified platform, shortening integration time from data collection, analysis to visualization and alerting.

Projects with clear ROI such as reducing electricity, reducing errors, shortening inspection time, etc. help businesses easily accept pilot implementation.
VGU is also committed to connecting outstanding teams with financial resources from major partners to support the realization of startup ideas.
The preliminary round of the InnoWorks 2025 Competition attracted the participation of 44 student teams from 13 universities and academies.
After the self-study process on the WISE-IoT platform and preliminary round evaluation, the Organizing Committee selected the 18 best teams for the semi-finals.
The InnoWorks 2025 Finals are scheduled to take place this November.
