Naval Academy encourages godchildren ahead of new school year

On the afternoon of August 27, in Khanh Hoa province, a working delegation of the Naval Academy led by Colonel Pham Duc Hung, Deputy Political Commissar of the Academy, visited and presented gifts to the families of fishermen sponsored by the unit, on the occasion of preparing to enter the new school year 2025 - 2026.

Since 2023, the Naval Academy has sponsored two fishermen's children. That is Doan Bui Uyen Phuong, born in 2014, orphaned by both parents, currently living with her grandparents, her family has been poor for many years.

The situation of Nguyen Thanh Phuc, born in 2008, mother is blind in both eyes, father left when he was young, mother and son live with grandparents who are old and weak, family circumstances are extremely difficult.

The working delegation gave gifts and encouraged Nguyen Thanh Phuc's mother and children to continue to overcome difficulties and excel in their studies and life.

At the meeting, the delegation of the Academy visited and encouraged the families of the two foster children to try to overcome difficulties and improve their lives. The delegation presented school bags, books and school supplies. On this occasion, the delegation also gave each foster child 2 million VND to buy additional supplies necessary for studying and living.

This is an activity that demonstrates the sentiment and responsibility of the Naval Academy in accompanying fishermen's families in difficult circumstances, contributing to strengthening the military-civilian solidarity, consolidating the trust between fishermen and the Navy. This is also a meaningful activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.
