The event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City Education and Training Day with the theme "50 years of educational innovation: Marks of the times - aspirations for the future", co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, the Vietnam Vovinam Federation and a number of sponsors.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, expressed his pride and praise when thousands of students participated in practicing and performing, not only demonstrating the spirit of solidarity but also reflecting the dynamism, confidence and will of the young generation. The program is not only a simple physical activity but also contributes to spreading the values of spiritual training, discipline and pride in national culture through Vovinam martial arts.
At Saigon Riverside Park, the children performed Vovinam martial arts to the song "Dragon and Fairy Race" by musician La Nhat Huy, then moved in formation to the music "Milo Champ Move" for 2 minutes and formed the flag of the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam to the music "My House Has a Flag". In the final performance, the children moved to form the national flag to the music "Proud Melody".
The martial arts performance set a double record: "The Vovinam martial arts performance program, live and online, at schools with the largest number of students participating in Vietnam and the world ".
After the performance, the program also organized an Edurun race for more than 2,000 students and teachers to participate.
