At this race, the organizers gave 5,000 flags to Binh Chanh district to create "national flag routes" in the locality. This is part of the "Proud of the National Flag" program implemented by Nguoi Lao Dong newspaper for the past 6 years.
About 2,300 amateur and professional athletes enthusiastically competed and experienced new routes. In the 21 km men's race, Nguyen Van Chinh finished first after a time of 1 hour 23 minutes 58 seconds. Le Thi Ha was the winner of the 21 km women's race with a time of 1 hour 34 minutes 54 seconds.

The winner of the men's 11 km race in the "Proud of My Fatherland" Half-marathon was athlete Truong Van Hieu (with a time of 38 minutes and 9 seconds) while Nguyen Khanh Ly won the women's 11 km race (with a time of 47 minutes and 29 seconds). In the men's 6 km race, Ly Toan Phat Di won with a time of 19 minutes and 59 seconds while Truong Hong Uyen won the women's 6 km race.
