Gio Linh Commune: Presenting 94 gifts to policy families

QTO - On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2 (1945 - 2025), on the afternoon of August 30, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gio Linh commune organized a program to present 94 gifts, each worth VND 500,000 in cash, to policy households and families in especially difficult circumstances.

In the warm and emotional atmosphere, Ms. Le Thi Quy, a poor household in Thuy Khe village, could not hide her emotion: "My family is very happy and excited to receive a meaningful gift from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune. This gift is not only material support but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping us have more faith and determination to rise up in life."

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gio Linh commune, Le Dinh Luan, said that after 10 days of launching (from August 15 to 25), the program received strong response from charitable organizations and individuals with a total donation of 46.8 million VND.

"Although the material value is not large, this is a noble gesture, showing the community's kindness, sending deep feelings and gratitude to policy families, and at the same time sharing the burden with poor households. We believe that these gifts will contribute to motivating families to overcome difficulties and join hands to build Gio Linh commune to develop stronger and stronger," Mr. Luan emphasized.
