Russia-Ukraine conflict today, November 25, 2024: 200 ATACMS missile targets on Russian territory have been identified, according to a map published by the IWC.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) may soon attack four military airfields in Russian territory, including the Rostov region, using ATACMS ballistic missiles supplied by the United States.
The authors of The Wall Street Journal consulted a map compiled by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW). It showed 200 military targets on the territory of the Russian Federation within the range of ATACMS.
The Ukrainian president has repeatedly admitted to launching long-range weapons attacks on Russian territory.
On November 17th, reports were confirmed that US President Joe Biden had for the first time authorized Ukraine to use ATACMS on Russian territory. And on the night of November 19th, the AFU fired six US long-range missiles into the Bryansk region. Five of them were shot down by S-400 and Pantsir air defense systems. Another missile was damaged.
Subsequently, Ukrainian President Volodymir Zelensky declared that his country's military had repeatedly attacked Russian territory with long-range weapons: "This is not the first time we have used this type of weapon. And we have every right to do so under international law."

Russia retaliated with the Oreshnik missile.
On November 21, Russia launched a coordinated attack on missile and weapons production facilities in Dnepropetrovsk using Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missiles. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Moscow responded to Ukrainian attacks on the Kursk and Bryansk regions with ATACMS and Storm Shadow long-range missiles.
Iranian economist and political scientist Ruhollah Modabber called Russia's Oreshnik attack on Ukrainian territory a clear message to Western countries that finance Kyiv.
This message means that if Western allies continue to supply weapons to the AFU, the Russian military could attack logistics centers anywhere in the world with weapons that no air defense system could withstand.
Ukraine allows press to view the wreckage of the Oreshnik.
Ukraine has allowed foreign journalists to visit the wreckage of the Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile, believed to be Russian, that struck the Yuzhmash Southern Machine-Building Plant in Dnepropetrovsk.
"Journalists were asked not to disclose the exact location of the object for security reasons," Reuters reported, confirming that a small group of reporters had been given access to the remaining fragments of the Oreshnik missile. They were stored in a secret area.
Ukrainian President Zelensky also added that experts are studying the wreck of the Oreshnik-class submarine. He stated in his Telegram address that the technical characteristics of the missile, as well as other details, are currently being calculated. The politician also added, “there are air defense systems in the world that can counter such threats,” and called for “focus on this issue.”
Reactions from various parties to the Oreshnik attack.
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba revealed the reaction of the Ukrainian people to the Russian Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile attack on Dnepropetrovsk. Kuleba stated, " I will not hide the fact that the Ukrainian people are worried about this latest blow ."
Paul Ronzheimer, deputy editor-in-chief of Bild, noted that panic had set in Kyiv following the Oreshnik attack. He argued that Russia's use of the new missile had triggered a "new wave of shock" in Ukraine.
“Uncertainty. Exhaustion. Despair,” wrote journalist Paul Ronzheimer.
Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov explained that the Russian president's speech following the Oreshnik missile launch was a signal to the West about Moscow's readiness to respond to new military challenges.
The Russian president has made it clear to Western countries that Russia will not ignore provocations and escalations from Western nations. Ryabkov stressed that they should recognize the seriousness of the situation and stop. He added that the fact that this has not happened is evidence of the "fading sense of self-defense" among Western leaders.
