The information was introduced to the press by the Vietnam Musicians Association on November 20, in Hanoi. Accordingly, the 4th International New Music Festival in 2025 will be held in Hanoi and Phu Tho from November 27 to December 1.
“27 artists from many famous music backgrounds in the world came to Vietnam to show their musical talents with more than 200 musicians, artists, and instrumentalists from Vietnamese symphony orchestras, such as: Vietnam National Symphony Orchestra, Vietnam National Academy of Music, University of Military Culture and Arts, Vietnam Opera and Ballet, Vietnam Musicians Association... creating a professional, equal playground for musicians in the world. Thereby, affirming that Vietnam has created prestige and professionalism in both organization and quality of works after 3 previous Festivals”, Major General, musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association introduced to the press.

Accordingly, there will be 5 programs taking place within the framework of the International New Music Festival, including: Opening ceremony - performing instrumental works by Vietnamese and international musicians; international chamber music concert; chamber music concert of young Vietnamese musicians; art exchange program of Moscow contemporary chamber music concert and performance of Vietnamese folk music concert; program of typical works by Vietnamese and international composers. In addition, there will be exchanges and lectures by world-famous musicians on the combination of Eastern and Western musical instruments; orchestra conducting; chamber music performance and chamber music conducting...
Associate Professor, Doctor, Musician Do Hong Quan, President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations , added that organizing the Festival, which brings together the names of world-famous composers and musicians in Vietnam, is a great opportunity for Vietnamese professionals and audiences. The Festival also affirms that Vietnam can now confidently and proudly present to the world an environment for composing and performing chamber music to a new level, which is internationally respected.

The organizers added that 50% of the total works performed at this year's Festival will be Vietnamese instrumental works (out of nearly 100 works). What is special is that the works with Vietnamese influences were composed and performed by international musicians at this Festival, such as: "Vietnam Dreams" by musician Alexander Radvilovich (Russia); a Japanese musician wrote about the Vietnamese monochord; the Russian Contemporary Chamber Orchestra performed 3 chapters of "Telling the Red River Story" by musician Huy Du and the work "Going Down the Mountain" by musician Do Hong Quan...
