Cat Ba Border Guard Station promptly assisted the distressed crew member.

On November 21, Hai Phong City Border Guard informed about a case of a sailor in distress in Cat Ba Bay (Hai Phong City) and was promptly supported by Cat Ba Border Guard Station, quickly brought to shore for emergency treatment.

Accordingly, at 10:15 p.m. on November 20, Cat Ba Border Guard Station received information from Mr. Tran Quoc Thuan, Captain of fishing boat TB-90888-TS, which was on its way to shore to avoid the wind, with 6 crew members on board. When the vehicle was moving to the Cat Ba area, Cat Hai special zone, about 4 nautical miles southeast of shore, crew member Le Van Tinh was unfortunately entangled in the anchor rope, resulting in serious injury, breaking his arm, requiring emergency care.

The injured crew member was treated at Cat Hai Special Zone Medical Center.

Immediately after receiving the news, Cat Ba Border Guard Station reported to the City Border Guard Command and mobilized 1 boat with 3 officers and soldiers, directly commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Bui Anh Tuan, Deputy Station Chief, to move to Cat Ba Bay area to support the distressed crew member and take him to the emergency room.

At 11:30 p.m. the same day, the rescue team reached the fishing boat TB-90888-TS and quickly brought the injured crew member ashore and transferred him to the Cat Hai Special Zone Medical Center for emergency treatment. After receiving timely medical care, the health and spirit of crew member Le Van Tinh are now stable.
