In recent times, the Ministry of Information and Communications has inspected and supervised the provision of postal services by licensed postal enterprises in Hanoi. Through inspection and supervision, it was found that some postal enterprises have not strictly complied with the provisions of the law on postal services.
Violations cause difficulties for state management of postal services, potentially causing risks of insecurity and insecurity in the provision of postal services such as: disclosure of correspondence secrets, loss of postal items, transport of smuggled and prohibited goods via post, unfair competition between businesses, and adversely affecting the rights of users of postal services.
As a result, the Ministry of Information and Communications revoked the licenses of 30 postal enterprises. At the same time, the Ministry of Information and Communications inspected and supervised the provision of postal services at the headquarters of 150 postal enterprises. Thereby, it was found that 07 postal enterprises showed signs of avoidance, non-cooperation or non-serious cooperation with competent state agencies when invited to work, 38 postal enterprises did not operate at the address stated on the granted postal license and could not be contacted via phone, email registered or declared in the application for a postal license, Confirmation document of notification of postal activities.
Pursuant to the provisions of the law on postal services, the Ministry of Information and Communications requests the above 38 postal enterprises to urgently contact the Ministry of Information and Communications (Postal Department) at the phone number: (024) 39438204 or via email: [email protected] to confirm the postal operation status of the enterprises. In case the postal enterprises do not contact, the Ministry of Information and Communications will coordinate with the competent authorities to handle the matter according to regulations.
