343 Karate students take the national rank promotion exam.

On May 29th and 30th, at the Provincial Sports Arena (Facility 2) in Tra Vinh Ward, Tra Vinh Karate Development Co., Ltd. collaborated with the Technical and Professional Council of the Karate Department of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Education Department to organize the 2026 National Karate Promotion Examination.

On May 29th and 30th, at the Provincial Sports Arena (Facility 2) in Tra Vinh Ward, Tra Vinh Karate Development Co., Ltd. collaborated with the Technical and Professional Council of the Karate Department of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Education Department to organize the 2026 National Karate Promotion Examination.

The 2026 National Karate Promotion Exam in Vinh Long attracted 343 participants.

The examination was judged by martial arts master Vu Van Hue - Head of the Martial Arts and Judo Department, Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports, Member of the Technical Expert Council of Karate, Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports, and martial arts master Do Thi Thu Ha - Head Coach of the national Karate team (women's Kata category), Member of the Technical Expert Council of Karate, Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports.

The exam was attended by 343 male and female martial arts students from various Karate clubs in four localities: Vinh Long, Can Tho City, Ho Chi Minh City, and Dong Thap. Of these, 238 students were taking the exam from level 1 to 1st Dan; 79 students from 1st Dan to 2nd Dan; 19 students from 2nd Dan to 3rd Dan; 4 students from 3rd Dan to 4th Dan; and 3 students from 4th Dan to 5th Dan.

The martial arts students successively go through the competition events such as: Kata (forms), sparring, kata technique analysis, Kumite (sparring), and refereeing.

The results of this competition will help the professional sector evaluate the movement and training of Karate from grassroots clubs. This will help identify talented athletes to supplement provincial and national teams participating in regional and international tournaments. In addition, it will promote physical training, especially in Karate, helping young people develop comprehensively in terms of morality, intellect, physical fitness, and aesthetics.
