(NLDO)- 40 military dogs with excellent achievements will have a special performance in the program "Historical Path" tonight, December 21.
A special artistic journey called "The Road of History" was jointly organized by VTV and the Ministry of National Defense to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.
The "four-legged warriors" will appear in the special program "The Road of History" on the evening of December 21.
The program took place at the Vietnam Military History Museum with the participation of about 3,000 artists, officers and soldiers representing forces such as the navy, army, air force, special forces... for martial arts performances, visual arts performances, reenactments of some major battles...
Thousands of types of weapons and equipment will be present, from weapons, equipment, vehicles, and means used throughout the length of wars to current defense products such as radar systems or military UAVs ... The production team also mobilized 80 carts to recreate the image of "the road to Dien Bien".
These are the military dogs that have completed their mission excellently.
In particular, the program will feature 40 military dogs (service dogs) from the Border Guard force that have successfully completed their missions in rescue and relief work during the recent storms and floods as well as international missions in Türkiye. These factors have partly demonstrated the quality of the content and scale of the program.
Not only performing rescue tasks during the recent storm...
For the Border Guard force, the special military dog team (service dogs) is not only a special attack spearhead, an effective combat vehicle, but also a loyal friend who always stands shoulder to shoulder, carrying out important "battles".
... the military dogs recently performed international missions in Türkiye.
Smell-identifying dogs are a particularly important tool and means to help reconnaissance forces have more basis to determine the direction of investigation of the case. Finding the source of the suspect's breath among many other breath sources through smelling the initial breath sample is the basis for reconnaissance forces to quickly find the culprit and complete the assigned task.

Border Guard Intermediate School 24, Border Guard Command, is where military dogs are trained.
Starting from two majors of training fighting dogs and training guard dogs to protect targets, up to now, the school has developed into five training majors, including: Fighting dogs; drug detection dogs; explosive detection dogs; search and rescue dogs and dogs that identify sources of odor, supporting criminal investigations.
Working dogs are all descended from German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois breeds.
The dogs selected for training as service dogs are all from German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois breeds. The school mainly imports the parent dogs, then breeds them at the school.
The program "Historical Path" has the participation of about 3,000 artists, officers and soldiers representing forces such as navy, army, air force, special forces.
Service dogs are selected in two stages: When they are born, they are selected based on criteria such as good appearance, no congenital defects, good barking, flexibility in movements...; in the second stage, the dogs are raised until they are about 3 to 4 months old, the trainer begins to familiarize the dogs with the harness, muzzle, and name according to the code number.
The presence of military dogs helps demonstrate the quality of the content and scale of the program.
At the age of 10 to 12 months, each dog continues to undergo at least the next 12 months of training and education. After that, the school will establish a dog selection committee to officially train them in each specialty. Depending on the ability, appearance, and nerves of each dog, they will be trained in the appropriate specialties.
For the Border Guard force, the military dog special forces are not only a special attack force, but also an effective combat vehicle...
"The Road of History" will be broadcast live at 8:10 p.m. on December 21 on VTV1 from the Vietnam Military History Museum.
.... but also a loyal friend who always stands side by side, carrying out important "battles" together.
