400 delegates attended the Workshop on Application of Science and Technology in Research and Health Care

Delegates attending the Conference commemorated Florence Nightingale - the founder of nursing.

The workshop gathered more than 400 delegates who are leaders of the health sector; nurses, midwives, technicians from hospitals, medical centers, private clinics in the province; lecturers and students of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Yersin University, Dalat.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Master Tran Ngoc Trung - Meritorious Physician, Chairman of Lam Dong Nursing Association emphasized: "This is a meaningful activity to recognize, praise and spread the silent but extremely great contributions of the team of nurses, midwives, technicians - those who always dedicate themselves to the lives and beliefs of patients. Following this year's theme: "Our nurses - Our future - Let's care about nursing to boost the economy", this is a timely and humane call for building a healthy, happy, professional and ethical nursing force to contribute to strengthening the health system and improving the quality of community care.

Master Tran Ngoc Trung - Meritorious Physician, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Nursing Association delivered the opening speech at the Workshop.

The conference included more than 25 reports in the fields of pharmacy and nursing; of which, 6 research topics were selected to be reported directly at the conference from Lam Dong General Hospital, Hoan My Da Lat Hospital, and Yersin University of Da Lat.

Some outstanding research topics include: Survey of hypotension complications during periodic hemodialysis in patients with chronic renal failure at Lam Dong General Hospital in 2024; Application of clinical guidance methods in the room work of the Head Nurse at Hoan My Da Lat Hospital; Results of applying the Learning Management System method in teaching the subject of Surgical Nursing at the Nursing Department of Yersin University of Da Lat; The role of artificial intelligence in training nursing students.

In addition, there are research reports in the pharmaceutical field such as: Counterfeit drugs - current situation, causes, consequences and application of technology in preventing counterfeit drug trading; Evaluation of antioxidant activity of ODF preparation - Sophora japonica flower by Xanthine Oxidase method; Research on preparation of soluble granules containing extract from Ngoc Linh ginseng biomass; Research on biological activity of Khoi Nhung leaf extract (Ardisia Sylvestris Pitard) applied in the treatment of gastric ulcers in Vitro and In Vivo; Optimizing the process of extracting Ngoc Linh ginseng biomass by hot soaking method; Analysis of behavior in using health protection foods of Lam Dong people in 2024 - 2025.

Dr. Nguyen Cao Cuong, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Yersin University of Dalat, spoke at the Workshop: “With the theme of the Workshop, we believe that the connection between knowledge and compassion, between technological innovation and professional ethics will create a breakthrough in modern health care.
