Since yesterday afternoon, many relief distribution points have been opened, appealing to the spirit of mutual support as the North is struggling to cope with the heavy damage caused by the floods. Throughout the eastern localities of Lam Dong province , individuals have joined hands to contribute goods and essential supplies, sending their heartfelt support to their compatriots in the North.

Compassion and noble gestures spread throughout the afternoon of October 9th, as at many collection points for goods and essential supplies, there were continuous streams of elderly people, adults, and young people bringing gifts or asking for transportation.
From Mui Ne ward, Ms. Nguyen Hoang Yen Nhi and her mother brought many boxes of milk, bottled water, and instant noodles to collection point No. 93 Vo Van Kiet (Phu Thuy ward, Lam Dong province) to send to flood victims. When asked, Nhi just smiled gently and said, " It's nothing, just a small gift, I hope the people will overcome this soon and stabilize their lives."

Like Nhi, young man Tran Tien Dat (from Phan Thiet ward) brought nearly 20 cartons of milk, mineral water, and instant noodles to support flood victims. Dat shared: “When I saw the news, I was truly moved and just wanted to contribute a little something to share with everyone. I couldn't go there myself, so I asked the kind people to help deliver it.”

The collection point at number 93 was initiated by Ms. Tran Thi Xuan Quy and many other volunteers. Since 2020, Ms. Quy has organized numerous fundraising and support efforts for people affected by major floods in Nghe An, Ha Tinh , Thanh Hoa, and other provinces. This year, witnessing Thai Nguyen submerged in water, she once again mobilized people to join hands in helping.
"I don't accept cash, only goods. If someone asks me to, I'll go to the main warehouses to buy them and have them transported to their location," Ms. Quy shared.

Currently, Ms. Quy's donation center has received 500 boxes of instant noodles, 100 boxes of drinking water, 100 life jackets, along with various medicated oils, medicines, rice, and other necessities sent from localities such as Luong Son commune, Phan Ri Cua commune, Phan Thiet ward, etc.
"As Vietnamese people, when our compatriots are in difficult circumstances, we must know how to support and share. Whether it's a little or a lot doesn't matter; as long as we see our fellow citizens suffering less, we feel happy," added Ms. Xuan Quy.

"We expect two trucks to depart for Thai Nguyen by tomorrow evening at the latest to provide timely assistance to the flood-affected people," Ms. Quy said.

At the receiving point at 32 Nguyen Hoi Street (Phan Thiet Ward, Lam Dong Province), Mr. Nguyen Truong Son is also representing the organization in receiving goods from many generous individuals. Son shared:
“Since yesterday afternoon, I’ve been using my house as a collection point. Many people brought their own supplies, some even bought things from the supermarket and brought them directly over. There were many items like instant noodles, drinks, medicine... One family donated up to 100 boxes of instant noodles. It is expected that on October 12th, all the goods will be sent to Thai Nguyen via the vehicle of Venerable Nun Minh Tuyet Tue Thong.”

At the receiving point at the end of alley number 200 Thu Khoa Huan (Phu Thuy ward, Lam Dong province), Ms. Dang Kim Oanh and many other women in the "Spread Love" group are busy arranging new clothes donated by small traders and shop owners, and neatly folding each blanket to prepare for sending them to Thai Nguyen.
The police of Tan Hai commune share their support with the people in the flood-stricken areas.
The spirit of sharing is not only evident among the people but also strongly permeates the local armed forces.
Responding to the movement to support the North, which is struggling under the weight of floods, the Tan Hai Commune Police (Lam Dong Province) organized a meaningful fundraising event. With the spirit of "mutual support" and "helping those in need," all officers and soldiers of the Tan Hai Commune Police wholeheartedly joined hands to share the difficulties and losses that the people in the flood-stricken areas are enduring.
All donated money and goods will be transferred by the unit in coordination with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Hai commune to the people in the disaster-stricken area as soon as possible, contributing to alleviating their suffering and helping them stabilize their lives.

This act of compassion not only demonstrates the pivotal role of the police force in ensuring security and order, but also affirms a profound sense of humanity and solidarity, spreading a message of unity and sharing within the community.
