Barcelona are the latest team to secure Champions League qualification for 2025/26. |
This comes after Spanish football secured a fifth place in Europe's most prestigious tournament, through its position in the 2024/25 La Liga rankings. With Bilbao's 2-0 victory over Rangers in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-finals on the morning of April 18, La Liga became the next league after the Premier League to have five places in the 2025/26 Champions League.
Barcelona (70 points after 31 matches) are currently leading La Liga and are 22 points ahead of sixth-placed Real Betis with seven games remaining. The Catalan club are certain to finish in the top five of La Liga this season.
They will join Liverpool, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and Paris Saint-Germain in the 2025/26 Champions League qualifying round. Paris Saint-Germain will enter the 2025/26 Champions League as Ligue 1 champions.
