55 Ha Giang students hospitalized with suspected food poisoning after Mid-Autumn Festival party

On September 17, the director of Xin Man General Hospital informed that the hospital received 55 patients who were students of Xin Man District Boarding Secondary and High School for Ethnic Minorities ( Ha Giang ), diagnosed with suspected food poisoning.

After admission, patients were given intravenous fluids, treated for symptoms of nausea and anxiety, and ordered tests.

After receiving intensive treatment, the patients' health is now basically stable, alert, and can be discharged today.

Previously, on the evening of September 15, 300 middle school students attended the Mid-Autumn Festival party organized by the school.

The menu includes lemon tea, kumquat, apple, pear, watermelon and pineapple, moon cake, candy, milk...

Fifteen minutes after eating, many children had symptoms of nausea, headache and stomachache and were taken to the hospital.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the incident.
