This year's race continues the legacy of previous successful seasons and is organized to commemorate the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026). It also coincides with the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026).
The race is an initiative of the City People's Committee. The City Department of Culture and Sports is in charge, and Unique is coordinating with the City Athletics Federation and the Labor Culture Palace to organize it.
This fifth annual night race will take place from May 16th to 17th with three main distances: 5km, 10km, and half marathon (21.0975km), expected to attract more than 6,000 domestic and international athletes.
The race route is specially designed, taking athletes past iconic buildings and heritage landmarks of Ho Chi Minh City at night.
In addition to the overall prize system, the organizers also implemented various competition categories based on age groups, couples' events, and team competitions to increase the appeal and encourage widespread participation from the sports-loving community.
Over the past five years, the Ho Chi Minh City Night Run has continuously innovated and improved to become one of the city's flagship running events. Each step is not only a journey to conquer one's limits, but also an opportunity to connect with the community and spread a positive sporting spirit.
