Ninh Binh FC announced their new head coach, Chu Dinh Nghiem, on the morning of May 26th.

On the morning of May 26th, Ninh Binh FC officially announced their new head coach, Chu Dinh Nghiem. After a period of negotiations, the team from the ancient capital and Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem decided to sign a three-year contract with a lucrative salary package.

With the new head coach Chu Đình Nghiêm, Ninh Bình Club has changed the registered coaching staff with the VPF Company, moving Bae Ji Won, who was previously listed as head coach, to assistant coach. Meanwhile, Technical Director Vũ Tiến Thành has left the team to return to Hoàng Anh Gia Lai .

Previously, coach Chu Đình Nghiêm stepped down from his position as head coach of Hải Phòng Club in early May.

"Five years is neither too long nor too short a time. I sincerely thank everyone who has always supported me during my time working in Hai Phong. Thank you to my students and colleagues who have always helped me. I wish everyone health, happiness, and success. I wish the Hai Phong team success and sustainability," Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem wrote on his personal page.

Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm, born in 1972, hails from Thanh Hóa province. He is a highly skilled strategist who has proven his class with numerous V-League championship titles under Hanoi FC from 2016 to 2022. Coach Nghiêm is the mentor who elevated the generation of Quang Hải, Đình Trọng, and Văn Hậu to become stars of Vietnamese football.

Coach Chu Đình Nghiêm is a "fire-breathing" figure, highly respected by many players, not only from Hanoi FC but also from numerous teams in the V-League.

When he took over as coach of Hai Phong in the 2022 season, despite having a weak squad and no star players, Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem still managed well, building a scientific and attractive attacking style of play that won the hearts of viewers. In his very first season, Nghiem led the team from the port city to a runner-up finish in the V-League and a ticket to the AFC Cup.

Taking over the reins of a team with strong potential and great ambitions like Ninh Binh, Coach Chu Dinh Nghiem has the opportunity to lead the team to conquer domestic and regional titles in the near future.

For now, Mr. Nghiem will lead Ninh Binh Club to play the remaining two rounds of the V-League 2025-2026, against Thanh Hoa and Ha Tinh on May 31st and June 7th, before playing in the National Cup semi-final against The Cong - Viettel on June 11th.
