6 Bac Lieu delegates attend the General Secretary's meeting

(BL-NQ) On the morning of April 21, at the T78 Guest House Hall (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), the Central Party Committee for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization in coordination with the Central Party Office and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee organized a meeting between Party and State leaders and veteran revolutionary cadres, meritorious people, and typical policy families in the Southern region. Comrade To Lam - General Secretary of the Central Party Committee chaired the conference. Also chairing the conference were Politburo members, Central Party Secretaries: Nguyen Trong Nghia - Head of the Central Party Committee for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization; Do Van Chien - Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

After the welcoming performance, the meeting was moved by the stories of revolutionary veterans and former prisoners of Con Dao recalling the history of heroic fighting and sacrifice, and a moment of silence to remember the brave comrades who died for the peace of the country.

On the side of Bac Lieu province, the Provincial Party Committee selected 6 delegates to participate in this event, including: Mr. Phan Thanh Lap - Hero of the People's Armed Forces (AHLLVTND), Colonel, former Head of the Traffic Police Department of the Provincial Police; Ms. Vo Thi Xuan - AHLLVTND, 4/4-class disabled veteran, wife of a martyr, a person who directly participated in the resistance war and was infected with toxic chemicals (CĐHH), was imprisoned by the enemy; Mr. Nguyen Trung Chanh - Chairman of the Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Bac Lieu City, a person who directly participated in the resistance war and was infected with CĐHH; Ms. Ngo Thu Ha - Team member of C39 Nguyen Viet Khai, former Chairman of the Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Bac Lieu City; Mr. Nguyen Van Ngan - 1/4-class disabled veteran in Chau Thoi commune (Vinh Loi district); and Mr. Ta Minh Phu - 4/4-class disabled veteran, a person who directly participated in the resistance war and was infected with CĐHH, former Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Lieu.

The meeting took place in a solemn, warm and comradely atmosphere, deeply expressing the gratitude of the Party and State for the great contributions and sacrifices of previous generations. This is not only an opportunity to review the heroic tradition, listen to the thoughts and aspirations of veteran cadres and families of policy beneficiaries, but also an opportunity for the Party and State leaders to inform about the major orientations of the country, consolidate trust and consensus in the whole society, especially the important policy on the arrangement of provincial administrative units in the Southern region, towards the goal of building an increasingly prosperous and civilized country.
