Prime Minister Le Minh Hung emphasized the importance of aid and concessional loans for investment and development in the new phase, and welcomed the ADB's early commencement of the National Partnership Strategy for the period 2027-2031.

The Prime Minister requested the ADB to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Government to further enhance the effectiveness of cooperation, especially in reviewing and resolving obstacles and difficulties in project implementation, expanding flexible and preferential financial instruments, and strengthening technical support and policy advice in building new development models, green transformation, supply chains, climate change response, and supporting the private sector.

The ADB President congratulated Prime Minister Le Minh Hung on his election as Prime Minister, affirming that the ADB will continue to be a reliable partner of Vietnam and that the Country Partnership Strategy for the period 2027-2031 will closely follow Vietnam's socio -economic development strategy. The ADB will also continuously improve its processes and procedures, and develop new financial instruments to better meet the resource needs of Vietnam and its members.
