Adenovirus – Things to note about the disease and when to take your child to the hospital

Adenovirus is an infectious disease that has been circulating for a long time. However, this virus can cause many different diseases such as pneumonia, pink eye, etc. To help people better understand this disease, the National Children's Hospital has created an infographic about the disease and when to take children to the hospital.

According to a report from the National Children's Hospital, where most of the patients with Adenovirus are examined and treated, since the beginning of the year, the hospital has recorded more than 3,130 cases and 9 deaths, an increase of 2 cases compared to the number reported a few days ago.

Cases have been increasing rapidly every week since mid-September. The week from September 12-18 recorded only 168 cases. Last week (September 26 - October 2) recorded nearly 1,150 cases. In just 3 weeks, the hospital recorded nearly 2,900 children infected with the Adeno virus. The children were mainly between the ages of 1 and 3.
