
The DT069 road section, from the border of Dien Ban town to Ai Nghia bridge, was expanded into a modern, dual-lane road more than 10 years ago.
The Ai Nghia Bridge, a continuation of the project, has been expanded and its cross-section synchronized with the DT609 route, creating a highlight for Dai Loc district. To resettle people affected by the DT609 expansion project and to improve urban infrastructure in the southern urban area, houses have sprung up along the intersecting roads.
According to Mr. Hua Van Hung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ai Nghia town, the locality allocates approximately 20-30 billion VND annually to invest in essential infrastructure projects.
Typical examples include repairing and upgrading school facilities and health stations; constructing new Ai Nghia Market and Nga Tu Afternoon Market, and Ai Nghia Kindergarten.

Community cultural centers were also built; the martyrs' cemetery was upgraded; and the Ai Nghia Cultural and Sports Center, Ai Nghia village park, and Ai Nghia park were constructed in a modern and spacious manner.
The locality has also received investment in many major projects such as the embankment to prevent erosion along the Vu Gia River, the Dai Loc Sports Center, the Northern Quang Nam Mountain Region General Hospital, the upgrading of Provincial Road 609 west of Ai Nghia Bridge to border Dai Nghia commune, and the upgrading and expansion of Provincial Road 609B.
The headquarters of the Dai Loc District Party Committee, Nguyen Trai Secondary School, the road connecting from the DH3.DL route (now DT609C) to the district's administrative center, and the new Ai Nghia West bypass road were constructed… The Southern urban residential areas from T1 to T13 took shape with a total investment of thousands of billions of dong.

According to Mr. Hua Van Hung, the locality also launched a campaign to encourage people to donate land and dismantle structures to upgrade and expand 218 urban and rural roads, and to concrete canals, with a total cost of over 285.4 billion VND.
In accordance with the policy of developing Ai Nghia town to meet the standards of a type IV urban area as per Resolution No. 05 dated December 6, 2016, of the Dai Loc District Party Committee, by the end of 2023, the locality achieved 84.25 points out of 100 standard points (25/55 indicators reached the maximum level, 22/55 indicators reached the average and minimum levels). Ai Nghia town strives to achieve the standards of a type IV urban area by 2025.
