Interregional cooperation - elevating the digital ecosystem.
During the working session with the Department of Science and Technology of Ha Tinh province , Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Hue city, stated that this was an opportunity for both sides to exchange in-depth information on effective models and solutions; and to share lessons learned and difficulties encountered during implementation. Ha Tinh expressed interest in how Hue organizes the IOC, integrates data, and operates the system to serve the people.
Next, in Quang Tri, the discussions focused on core platforms such as Hue-S, public postal services, and the process of handling on-site complaints. Mr. Dang Ngoc Tuan, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Quang Tri, assessed Hue's model as an important reference, especially in bringing digital technology to serve the people and improving the quality of public services.
During the subsequent working session when the Hue delegation visited Quang Tri, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son emphasized that sharing experiences would help replicate effective models and promote science, technology, and innovation. He suggested priority tasks for building a digital government and recommended that Quang Tri strengthen the application of digital technology in state management and develop smart urban services.
A highlight was the IOC survey by Mr. Ho Xuan Truong, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee. The fact that a high-ranking leader from a developing locality directly examined the model demonstrates the appeal and prestige of Hue. After surveying the systems, from flood warning to environmental monitoring, he concluded that this is "a genuine smart city platform, not a demonstration model."
The series of work and surveys has confirmed that Hue is becoming a hub for digital transformation knowledge in the region. Hue's appeal stems from its stable operating system, real data, and measurable effectiveness, which are factors that have transformed Hue from a locality that performs well into a center for sharing smart city models in Central Vietnam and the whole country.
New technologies, data, and governance models for smart cities.
Alongside inter-regional cooperation, working sessions between the Hue City Department of Science and Technology and VNPT-IT Hanoi have opened up a new approach to the city's smart city model, shifting from monitoring to forecasting, and from operation to decision support. At these sessions, VNPT-IT General Director Pham Huy Hoang introduced a series of data-driven solutions from Hue's IOC, ranging from AI assistants and digital city replicas to real-time risk monitoring. He stated that Hue has ideal conditions for deploying a second-generation smart city model, where data can predict and support governance decisions.
Hue is also one of the few cities that has a sufficiently deep data base to move into the forecasting and operational phase. According to the Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Nguyen Xuan Son, the city is ready to cooperate in researching and testing new technologies, aiming to build a smart, humane, and sustainable city where technology serves people. He emphasized that applying technology to governance, the environment, tourism, transportation, education, and smart healthcare will bring direct benefits to citizens and businesses.
From inter-regional cooperation to new technological models, Hue is steadfastly pursuing the path of a modern and humane smart city. The city chooses to base its approach on practical experience, use multi-faceted cooperation as a driving force, and place its people at the center. These consistent steps demonstrate that, when implemented correctly, digital transformation not only elevates governance methods but also reshapes the future of a city.
