The relationship between Airbus and Vietnam

Airbus, headquartered in Toulouse, France, is one of the world's largest aircraft manufacturers. It also has a subsidiary specializing in defense and aerospace, and is also among the largest companies in this field.

The partnership between Airbus and Vietnam dates back nearly 30 years. Many of the group’s products, such as helicopters, civil aircraft and transport aircraft, have been operating safely in Vietnam for many years.

One of the important milestones in the cooperation between the two sides came on May 7, 2013 when Vietnam's first Earth observation satellite VNREDSat-1 provided by Airbus was successfully launched into orbit.

At a conference to review the 10-year anniversary of the launch of VNREDSat-1 last year, delegates said the satellite is still operating, providing high-quality and stable images. VNREDSat-1 has made over 53,000 orbits around the Earth, equivalent to 2.4 billion kilometers of distance.
