During the 2025 summer transfer window, Man Utd spent £200 million to sign Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, Diego Leon, and Benjamin Sesko. However, conversely, the Red Devils have yet to earn a single penny from selling players.

Therefore, Man Utd is pushing to offload "surplus" players from the club. Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly very close to leaving Man Utd. According to transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano, the Argentinian star has reached a personal agreement with Chelsea.

The 21-year-old is valued at around £50 million by Man Utd, but Chelsea believe they can negotiate a significantly lower price. The two sides will negotiate a specific figure in the coming period.

Garnacho has been informed by the Manchester United management that he is no longer in the club's plans. Manager Ruben Amorim even removed him from the squad for the summer tour of the United States. Since the team returned to the Carrington training center on August 5th, the Argentinian player has been training separately, not participating with the first team.

Sources close to the situation reveal that Garnacho has expressed a desire to move to Chelsea, with his future at Old Trafford seemingly over. According to ESPN, Garnacho's future could be decided as early as this week.
