"Echoes of Words" makes an initial impression from the cover design to the name of the book, which seems to arouse curiosity and attention for readers. Contained in 255 pages of the book are 25 articles by author Che Diem Tram about famous authors and works of Vietnamese literature, of the literary village of Tram land. Those works are divided into 3 parts by the author. In which, the part "Homeland from the echoes of words" gathers 7 articles by the author about 7 famous writers and poets of Khanh Hoa , including: Giang Nam, Cao Duy Thao, Tran Van Gia, Le Khanh Mai, Hoang Nhat Tuyen, Tran Chan Uy, To Hang Thanh. The 12 articles in the section "Every day, every word echoes" are the author's literary feelings about the faces of great writers and poets of the nation, from typical poets of medieval literature such as: Nguyen Du, Ho Xuan Huong to Tan Da - who is considered the hyphen between medieval poetry and modern poetry, followed by the faces of the New Poetry movement such as: Quach Tan, Che Lan Vien, Thanh Tinh, Te Hanh, Nguyen Xuan Sanh... Along with that are the author's feelings about some favorite topics such as: Writer Cao Duy Son and the short story Oh, Chich Bong!; Inrasara - a researcher and critic of poetry in the renovation period; A few sketches of Cham ethnic literature in the first twenty years of the 21st century; Don't be far from me forever - an urgent warning about human values. In the last part of the book titled “Spring resonates in words”, readers have the opportunity to be guided by the author into the spring garden in the poems of Nguyen Cong Tru, Phan Boi Chau, Han Mac Tu… or learn about Tet in “Thuong nho muoi twelfth” by Vu Bang, the flavor of spring in “Cave of yellow flowers” by Pham Thien Thu.
This is a collection of articles by author Che Diem Tram, so sometimes when reading the book, we feel both familiar and strange in the approach to the problem, the way of speaking, the simple and honest way of writing of a person who used to be a Literature teacher. As author Mai Ba An said in the introduction to the book "Echo of Words": "... with Che Diem Tram, the academic theory of a researcher is not revealed as a purpose but blends skillfully in the practice method of a Literature teacher. Anyone who reads Che Diem Tram will feel very clearly that this is a sharp but simple and gentle writer... It can be said that reading "Echo of Words" does not see the shadow of any "theoretical framework", but only the voice of the heart, the soul listening to the echo of each word. It is as if Cham women are diligently using their manual hands to skillfully "turn and mold" each of their ceramic products."
