On October 1, the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa province said it had issued an official dispatch to the People's Committees of communes, wards, special zones and secondary schools regarding not organizing the provincial-level secondary school excellent student exam in the 2025-2026 school year.
Previously, on September 12, the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa province issued an official dispatch guiding the implementation of general education tasks at primary and secondary levels in the 2025-2026 school year. In the attached appendix, the department plans to organize the provincial-level secondary school excellent student exam in December 2025.

However, after the merger of the provinces, secondary schools have changed a lot: the size of the schools has increased, the distribution area is wide and uneven between communes and wards. After consulting with schools, the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa province has determined that the priority task this school year is to stabilize the organization and arrange the apparatus.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Son, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Khanh Hoa province, said that in order for teaching and learning to quickly get into order, the department will not organize the provincial-level secondary school excellent student exam as planned in the 2025-2026 school year. This decision is to help schools focus on stabilizing teaching activities, ensuring the quality of mass education for all students in the post-merger context.
