In An Giang, many houses had their roofs blown off and roads were damaged by landslides due to thunderstorms.

On the afternoon of May 29th, heavy rain and thunderstorms in My Duc commune, An Giang province, ripped off the roofs of six houses in My Chanh and My Hoa hamlets and caused landslides on the road in Group 8, My Chanh hamlet, from Cau Gao bridge to National Highway 91.

Upon receiving the information, the commune's leadership team directly inspected the site, assessed the extent of the damage, and directed efforts to mitigate the consequences.

The road in Hamlet 8, My Chanh Village, My Duc Commune, An Giang Province, the section from Cau Gao Bridge to National Highway 91, has been affected by landslides.

According to observations at the scene, two serious landslides occurred on the road from Cau Gao to National Highway 91. In addition, the storm also ripped off the roofs of 6 houses, including 5 in My Chanh hamlet and 1 in My Hoa hamlet, with estimated damage of about 90 million VND.

Local departments, organizations, and forces are coordinating efforts to mitigate the consequences of the natural disaster.

Given the complex weather developments, the commune leaders directed local departments, organizations, and forces to strengthen coordination and promptly support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters; at the same time, they intensified propaganda and raised awareness to proactively prevent storms, tornadoes, and landslides in order to minimize potential damage.
