On the morning of May 30th, the weather was quite cool as students took the Literature exam. By the afternoon, the air in Hanoi had become hot and humid.

Outside the school gate, traffic control personnel directed traffic to ensure smooth travel; youth union members participating in the "Supporting the Exam Season" program provided assistance, distributed free drinking water, and encouraged candidates.

When the school gates closed, parents found their own ways to wait for their children. Some chose to sit in the waiting rooms provided by the school, while others stood under the shady trees near the exam site. Many parents sat on their motorbikes, on benches along the roadside, or found a corner of the sidewalk to rest while waiting for their children to finish the exam.

Under the early summer sun, many parents patiently waited for hours. Some took the opportunity to browse their phones and chat with other parents; others constantly gazed towards the school gate, eagerly awaiting the moment their children emerged from the examination room.

According to many parents, the entrance exam to public high schools is a significant milestone for students in their final year of junior high school. Therefore, in addition to preparing all necessary documents and school supplies, they want to be near the exam site to provide encouragement and help their children feel more secure and confident during these stressful exam days.
