- Over the years, the work of ensuring occupational safety and health (OSH) has been given attention and implemented by cooperatives in the area.
Established in 1998, Thong Nhat Cooperative in Chi Lang commune primarily operates in the field of basic construction. Mr. Nguyen Duc Bay, Director of the Cooperative, stated: "Due to the inherent safety risks of the work, especially some projects that utilize seasonal labor, the Cooperative pays special attention to occupational safety and health. Specifically, the Cooperative provides protective equipment for workers; requires construction team leaders to regularly disseminate information and encourage workers to implement safety measures; and participates in occupational safety training courses organized by relevant authorities... Over the years, the Cooperative has not experienced any dangerous occupational safety incidents for its workers."

The working environment of employees at the Minh Duc Environmental and Commercial Services Cooperative in Bac Son commune poses numerous risks to occupational safety and health. Mr. Ha Minh Duc, the cooperative's director, stated: "The cooperative primarily operates in the field of environmental sanitation. To ensure occupational safety and health for workers, the cooperative regularly provides them with protective clothing and equipment; and frequently educates and reminds workers to properly implement occupational safety and health measures… This contributes to ensuring the safety of workers during their work."
Ms. Hoang Thi Thuy, a worker at the cooperative, said: "Since working at the cooperative, I have been informed about regulations on occupational safety and health. At the same time, the cooperative has provided me with all the necessary protective equipment so that I can perform my duties well while ensuring my own health and safety."
Currently, there are approximately 600 cooperatives registered and operating in the province in various fields such as agriculture ; industry, handicrafts; trade, services; construction; transportation, etc. Along with the two cooperatives mentioned above, many cooperatives in the province have regularly disseminated information, reminded workers about occupational safety and health, and sent them to training courses; they have also provided adequate equipment such as clothing, hats, masks, gloves, and other protective tools for work.
Besides the proactive efforts of cooperatives, relevant levels and sectors have implemented solutions to support cooperatives in effectively ensuring occupational safety and health. Mr. Lieu Xuan Du, Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union, said: Every year, the Provincial Cooperative Union, in coordination with relevant agencies, organizes training courses and awareness sessions for representatives of cooperatives, incorporating content on occupational safety and health (in the period 2020 - 2025, 35 courses were organized for 2,250 leaders, managers, and members of cooperatives);…
Together with the Provincial Cooperative Union, all levels and sectors in the province have strengthened propaganda and training on occupational safety and health, including cooperatives. In 2025 alone, relevant agencies and units organized 704 training courses, integrating propaganda on occupational safety and health for nearly 183,000 participants; and launched 15 campaigns and emulation movements on occupational safety and health…
Thanks to the proactive efforts of cooperatives and the close attention of relevant levels and sectors, the work of ensuring occupational safety and health in cooperatives in the province has achieved positive results. According to the leaders of the Provincial Cooperative Union, in recent years, the unit has not recorded any cases of cooperatives failing to meet occupational safety and health standards.
