Ang Cang strives to build a new rural area.

The delegation from Muong Ang district visited the flower-lined road in Ang Cang commune.

Ang Cang commune, Muong Ang district, has 18 villages, including 5 highland villages, with nearly 8,000 inhabitants. With the goal of achieving the new rural development targets according to the set roadmap, Ang Cang commune has mobilized the entire political system to participate, launching many emulation movements to implement the new rural development criteria.

A highlight is that Ang Cang has mobilized social resources and the labor of members of various organizations and the people to build a flower-lined road leading to the commune center, over 1km long. People donated land for the road construction, beautifying the rural landscape and making it increasingly modern. Today, Ang Cang boasts paved and concrete roads adorned with vibrant flowers, replacing the muddy roads of the past, creating a new vitality in the rural area. Implementing numerous solutions for building new rural areas, Ang Cang has basically achieved 15 out of 19 criteria, its economy is gradually developing, and social security and order are maintained.

To achieve the status of a new rural commune, Ang Cang needs to continue striving, having met 6 basic criteria (transportation, cultural infrastructure, information and communication, housing, labor, environment and food safety), while 4 criteria remain unmet (income, multidimensional poverty, production organization and rural economic development, political system and access to law). Income is a difficult criterion, so the Party Committee and the government of Ang Cang commune prioritize its implementation. To increase people's income, the commune focuses on providing plant and animal breeds, machinery, and agricultural tools... to help people transform their production structure and exploit potential to form concentrated vegetable growing areas, coffee plantations, buffalo and cattle farming, and cage fish farming...

Nguyen Tien Dat, Secretary of the Muong Ang District Party Committee, affirmed that the Party Committee and government of Ang Cang commune need to continue maintaining and consolidating the criteria already achieved, focusing on directing the implementation of difficult and unachieved criteria; doing even better in social mobilization and attracting all resources; and raising public awareness in building new rural areas.
