Labor Hero Thai Huong was internationally honored as an outstanding leader in global sustainable development 2025

On June 13, 2025, Global Brand Magazine (UK) held its annual Global Brand Awards ceremony in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Only 3 out of 31 awards were honored globally, and one of them was solemnly presented to Vietnamese Hero of Labor Thai Huong with the title of "Outstanding Leader in Global Sustainable Development 2025".

Along with the award for business leaders, TH Group was also honored by the prestigious UK magazine in 3 fiercely competitive categories in the Food and Beverage sector, including: Excellence in Dairy Innovation Award for TH true YOGURT TOPCUP; Excellence in Gut Health Solutions for TH true YOGURT Probiotics and Best Natural Dairy Product for TH true YOGURT yogurt.

Global Brands Awards is a prestigious award system founded by Global Brands Magazine in 2013 in collaboration with international companies that analyze data, evaluate independent brands... All annual nominations of Global Brands Awards go through a serious 6-step evaluation process: National nomination - Receiving nomination documents - Reviewing application information by an internal committee - Nominating the preliminary list of winners to an independent analysis unit for evaluation according to the award criteria - The committee evaluates and ranks the awards according to the analysis report - Announcing the list of winners. The annual award ceremony is solemnly held in prominent locations around the world and is an event that the business community is looking forward to.

From hundreds of nominations, the 2025 Global Brand Award ceremony in Dubai only selected to honor the owners of 31 awards for leaders in many different fields. Notably, at the Global level, there were only 3 awards including: Outstanding Leadership Strategy awarded to Mohammadreza Ordikhani - General Director of Novin Saffron, Visionary Leader Award - Telecommunications Industry awarded to Sunil Bharti Mittal - Chairman of Bharti Group (owner of Airtel) and the Best Sustainable Development Leader Award of the year awarded to Labor Hero Thai Huong of Vietnam.

This is the latest internationally recognized milestone in the journey of sustainable development for community health of Labor Hero Thai Huong and TH Group. Previously, in 2023, Italy's Le Fonti Global Awards also honored her in the Global Sustainability Category with the Leader of the Year Award.

She was honored by the United Nations Office in Geneva (UNOG) in "17 Vietnamese Action Faces for Sustainable Development" in 2023. She is the first and only representative of Vietnam to be honored by CSRWorks International in the list of Top 10 'Women for Sustainable Development' 2021 in Asia. American financial magazine (Forbes) voted her into the Top 50 Powerful Businesswomen in Asia for many consecutive years for changing the nature of the dairy industry in Vietnam. She is also the only businesswoman in Vietnam to be voted for the Outstanding Achievement Award for Community Contribution in Dubai (UAE); the Powerful Businesswoman Award at the World Knowledge Forum (WKF); the Stevie Award for Outstanding Businesswoman, Outstanding Businesswoman in Asia, etc.

With a strategic vision, Ms. Thai Huong has built a sustainable development path for TH since its inception, based on a consistent formula of Vietnamese intelligence combining Vietnamese natural resources and the world's end-to-end technology with the principle of "Cherishing Mother Nature". Applying the world's advanced scientific achievements, TH's production and business activities have been designed to minimize emissions, optimize operational efficiency, and meet the highest international standards right in Vietnam. At the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Summit (COP 26), the Vietnamese Government committed to achieving carbon neutrality and Net Zero by 2050. Taking the lead with the state, Ms. Thai Huong has oriented TH Group to become one of the outstanding enterprises in Vietnam's high-tech agriculture industry, pioneering in creating green production and a sustainable economy. From thinking to action, from governance to implementation, TH focuses on 3 activities: Reducing greenhouse gas emissions; switching to using green energy sources, renewable energy and absorbing greenhouse gases. Continuously implementing initiatives, TH Group has set a target of reducing direct greenhouse gas emissions at farms and factories by an average of 15%/year in the scope of direct greenhouse gas emissions. The goal of reducing the total scope of direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions per unit of product at TH factories and farms is also to reduce by an average of 15%/year. All activities of TH comply with the principle of using environmentally friendly materials, green energy, and renewable energy.

Most recently, on April 4, 2025, two key manufacturing companies of TH Group, including TH Milk Joint Stock Company and Nui Tien Pure Water Company Limited, were certified as carbon neutral according to PAS 2060:2014 standards. These are the first two companies in Vietnam to be assessed and confirmed by Control Union - an independent and prestigious international certification organization.

Two companies of TH Group have conducted emission inventory calculations according to the Protocol Standard on Corporate Greenhouse Gas Inventory - the most widely used accounting standard; the carbon neutrality data of the two companies was confirmed to be in accordance with the requirements of PAS 2060:2014 - a technical standard developed by the British Standards Institute (BSI), a recognized, standardized and transparent approach worldwide. The total amount of neutralised emissions at TH Milk Joint Stock Company is 26,670.14 tons of CO2; at Nui Tien Pure Water Company Limited is 11,631.68 tons of CO2.

Along with environmental goals, Ms. Thai Huong’s TH Group also plays a key role in local socio-economic development. “TH Group has directly and significantly contributed to the 9% GRDP growth rate of Nghe An and 14-15% of Nghia Dan district in 2024. Along with that, the group has created jobs for thousands of local workers, improving people’s income and life,” said Mr. Pham Chi Kien, Secretary of Nghia Dan district Party Committee.

Initiatives to promote environmental protection, circular economy, and turning waste into resources not only promote the sustainable development of TH Group but also bring economic benefits to the people. TH Group's pioneering steps are the basis for local leaders to evaluate and replicate the model in the future.
