Profit-taking pressure increased, VN-Index lost more than 29 points

On September 5, the Vietnamese stock market was in red. After surpassing the 1,700-point mark in the morning session, the market witnessed a massive profit-taking wave, especially in large-cap stocks, causing the market to reverse sharply in the afternoon session. At the end of the session, the VN-Index fell 29.32 points to 1,666.97 points.

Market liquidity increased compared to the previous session, with total trading volume on the three exchanges reaching more than 1,967 million shares, equivalent to a total trading value of more than VND54,405 billion.

Foreign investors continued to net sell for the sixth session on all three exchanges, more than VND1,486 billion, focusing on codes VPB (more than VND270 billion), VHM (more than VND204 billion), MBB (more than VND155 billion), HDB (more than VND130 billion), TCB (more than VND129 billion)...

On the contrary, the codes that were net bought a lot in this session included DIG (over 123 billion VND), NVL (over 76 billion VND),SHB (over 73 billion VND), HSG (over 63 billion VND), GEX (over 44 billion VND)...

On the HoSE floor, the order matching value this session increased compared to the previous session, reaching more than 47,464 billion VND.

In this session, the codes that contributed positively to the VN-Index increased by more than 1.69 points include: SJS, GVR, VJC, REE, KBC, VPL, FRT, SAB, NVL, DHC.

On the contrary, the stocks that negatively impacted the VN-Index by more than 16.21 points included: VCB, VPB, BID, VHM, HPG, MBB, CTG, MWG, LPB, SSI.

In terms of industry groups, this session, software stocks had a negative performance, down 1.53%, mainly fromFPT , CMG, HPT... Some stocks increased including ITD, SBD, PAI...

The group of securities stocks this session leaned towards red, with a decrease of 4.16%, mainly from codes SSI, VIX, VND, VCI, SHS, MBS, HCM, FUEVFVND, FTS, BSI... On the contrary, a few codes increased including AAS, TCI, TVC, HAC, HVA...

Banking stocks traded mainly in red and closed down 2.37%, mainly from codes VCB, BID, TCB, CTG, VPB, MBB,ACB , LPB, HDB, STB...

Real estate stocks this session were in the red and decreased by 1.1%, mainly from codes VHM, KDH, SSH, PDR, DXG, VPI, TCH, IDC, CEO, TAL... On the contrary, the codes that increased included KBC, NVL, KSF, SJS, NLG, SIP, SNZ...

Energy stocks this session were mostly red, down 0.16%, mainly from codes BSR, PLX, OIL, VTO, VIP, GSP, AAH, NBC, SFC, PJT... Increasing direction included codes PVD, PVP, PVC, TMB, POS, PVB, TD6...

The group of raw material stocks this session leaned towards red, down 1.41%, mainly from codes HPG, DGC, KSV, MSR, HSG, NTP, NKG, VCS, HT1, TVN, PTB, DPR... On the contrary, the codes that increased included GVR, DCM, DPM, PHR, VIF, DDV, HGM, DHC, BFC...

Insurance stocks traded mainly in red and closed down 1.69%, mainly from codes BVH, BIC, MIG, BMI, PGI... Increasing direction included PTI, ABI, AIC, BLI...

Retail stocks performed negatively, down 1.44%, mainly from codes MWG, PNJ, DGW, HHS, PET, TLP, HAX, SHN, BTT... On the contrary, the codes that increased included FRT, HUT, HTM, SVC, C69, TSC, STH...

* The Vietnamese stock market index today turned down and closed in red, VNXALL-Index closed down 60.4 points (-2.05%), at 2,880.36 points. Liquidity with a trading volume of more than 1,742.81 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 50,766.9 billion. In the whole market, there were 115 stocks increasing in price, 85 stocks remaining unchanged and 264 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 280.67 points, down 3.23 points (-1.17%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 174.58 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND4,258.1 billion. In the whole market, 72 stocks increased in price, 72 stocks remained unchanged and 95 stocks decreased in price.

The HNX30 index closed down 10.88 points (-1.72%) to 621.42 points. Trading volume reached over 123.38 million units, equivalent to over VND3,624.33 billion. In the whole market, 8 stocks increased in price, 7 stocks remained unchanged and 15 stocks decreased in price.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM-Index closed at 111.82 points, down 0.03 points (-0.03%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached over 96.82 million shares, corresponding trading value reached over 1,121.36 billion VND. In the whole market, there were 185 stocks increasing in price, 132 stocks remaining unchanged and 139 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 29.32 points (-1.73%) to 1,666.97 points. Liquidity reached over 1,696.08 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND49,025.68 billion. The entire floor had 100 stocks increasing, 45 stocks remaining unchanged and 230 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 38.11 points (-2.02%) and stopped at 1,845.48 points. Liquidity reached more than 673.13 million units, equivalent to a trading value of more than VND 23,614.68. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 3 stocks increasing, 3 stocks remaining unchanged and 24 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are NVL (over 34.51 million units), KBC (over 23.26 million units), PVD (over 16.99 million units), HAG (over 13.65 million units), DPM (over 7.74 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase are SVC (+6.97%), PTC (+6.96%), SJS (+6.94%), NBB (+6.92%), VPS (+6.83%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price decrease were AGR (-6.85%), DSE (-6.77%), VND (-6.72%), PLP (-6.7%), SRC (-6.67%).
