The iOS 18.3 update marks a major milestone in the rollout of Apple's AI suite of features. Previously, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 series users were instructed to manually enable Apple Intelligence when setting up their phones.
With the iOS 18.3 update, the number of Apple Intelligence users could increase. Apple advertises a suite of features that include the ability to edit, create images, summarize email threads and messages.
Additionally, according to Apple’s security support document, the company has been notified of a security vulnerability called CoreMedia that can be exploited in versions prior to iOS 17.2. The iPhone maker has also addressed the issue.
Apple also patched more than 20 other security vulnerabilities, including one that allowed attackers to access the iPhone's Photos app even when the device was locked. Several other AirPlay vulnerabilities allowed attackers to execute code or crash apps.
Due to the large number of vulnerabilities patched in iOS 18.3, iPhone users need to download it immediately to ensure safety.
Users of compatible iPhone and iPad models can now download iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 by going to the Settings app > General > Software Update. Apple has also released iPadOS 17.7.4 for iPad models that cannot run iPadOS 18.
